I am still working on my band in a jar idea where I shrink bands i like and put them in jars and make them play music for me when ever I want it shall be amazing once I work out how to shrink them and then i will have to capture them, I think I'll make a sign that says BANDS COME PLAY OVER HERE AND I'LL GIVE YOU LOOKS OF MONEY they will surely come then BOOM i shall shrink them and they will live the rest of their days in a jar but i will feed them bamboo so life will be good.

Today was a glorious public holiday. The sun was shining the birds were singing and the sounds of the builders radio from down the street was wafting sweet music through my windows. Its days like these i wish could last for ever, with nothing much to do but ride through the leafy streets taking photos and making strange art works.

I thought it high time i let you all see my pirate ship where myself and Maryanne reside, but seeing as i'm less of a sea pirate and more of a bicycle pirate currently, my pirate ship resembles a caravan. I love my caravan so so much, every morning i wake up and feel ridiculously happy as i look around my little home. There is tie dye everywhere, a little too much some may say but i think you can NEVER have too much tie dye. I have always been fond of putting feathers in my hair and lately i have been experimenting more and more with my head pieces. I wear them out all the time and often get strangle looks, but as i am used to being called Indian or Gypsy or hippy or pirate it does not really bother me. Also i came across these AMAZING crochet shorts the other day i love them so so so much but i think they are going to be a bit hard to wear out to any public place that is not a beach which is unfortunate. My Technicolour dream coat in the last two pics is also one of my all time favourite items in the world..I think i would be naked if it were not for op shops/thrift stores they are the most magical treasure chests filled with old worn love.

Every the summer i was 17 and living at home i would make a daisy chain crown with the daisys out the front of my house, by the end of the day they were wilted but it didn't matter. Daisys are my absoulute favouite flowers. I tried to find some good fake ones that wouldn't wilt so i could wear them at night but alas the fake flower shops do not favour the white leafed yellow centred variety so this is the best i could find. I just got back from an amazing adventure with sir stompface, it was full of disgises, kittens, cheese and swedish vampires and along the way i also picked up this amazing dress for $10 it makes me feel so 90's i love it!

Yesterday on one of my op shop adventures, i managed to get my hands on this delicious white blazer for $3, it fills my heart with happiness and leaves my wallet with money in it. Later that night whilst cruising with Velvet Jr i saw pretty much the same blazer in sports girl for about a million more dollars and that made me even happier so Happy in fact that i celebrated by listening to the incredible string band. Hooray for op shops and old people who had fashion sense and then lost all their sense and gave their amazing items to the good Sammy's.

It has been a while since a post with a beautiful bicycle specimen involved, to all you bicycle lovers, I'm sorry. This has been due to a few reasons. Firstly Maryanne has been a bit sick and been in and out of surgery, and my beloved Jack well one morning i woke up and he was gone, later that day i received a text from my friend saying she had seen jack on my parents front lawn ready for roadside pickup. My dad explained that jack had died and i just needed to realised that he wasn't going to get better this time. So after just having had my heart ripped out for the second time in 5 months i decided on a new course of action, there was no way that i would put down the sword and leave pirating the streets to other incompetent individuals, no i needed a new comrade and i knew just where to find him...well not exactly where but after some scouting i found out where Mr Velvet, who had conveniently decided to leave the country last december, had stowed Velvet Jr. So a pirating i went and now Velvet Jr is safely in my possession and i can go back to terrorising the streets with my new biker gang The Northwood Bandits. No one will be safe from water and flour bombs NO ONE.

But for now we are off on a midnight mission for licorice.

Status update: mission accomplished, licorice in my stomach...delicious

Saturday was a magical day, in the morning Maryanne and I went on an adventure to find some learn to speak spanish tapes and then we went to get Stompface from the train station and bring her back to out pirate ship. Then we had a picnic in the park and got rather happy. More pics here Estranged best friends club.

I then rediscoverd the joy of flares, yes i pulled out my old one from the bottom of my draws and thought, its about time i put you on my legs, i was stoked they still fit, seeing as they are a size 6, so much joy! I pretty much was the happiest i've been in a pair of jeans in a long long time, they made me feel so free.

Later that day we ventured over to James William Terrys humble abode, yes he lives in a shed

for some fun, then headed out with him to a 21st that me and Stompface were not envited to but JT was telling them i was his sister, so they welcomed us with open arms. The night took us to some crazy places, discovering french teddys, spitting off bridges to try and hit cars, reanacting janet jackson pictures, arguing with bouncers but finally gettng into the clun when the manager saw that at least 15 people wouldnt come in if they didnt let me in, dancing wildly to passion pit, making mi goreng back at JT's at 4 in the morning....Its a wonderfull life.

So today i was pretty bored and after crusing all the opshops within ridding distance and scoring some AMAZING items of clothing, i decided to ride into the city, where i saw a place that said body piercing, and after wanting a nose ring since yr 8 but never getting one cause my mum would flip i decided why not.

so i went in and 10 minutes later i had something silver in my nose. I like it but at the same time im a little nervous seeing as my sister told me i looked disgusting, my nephews pointed at told me i looked weird and neice said 'i don't like it, i don't like it' and ran into her room crying. Stompface the only other who has seen it loves it, its a little too big for my liking but in a few weeks i can put a smaller one in, that is if i can keep it that long!

The cultral adviser will now be fired....

So i picked up some amazing shoes today...no they are not docs unfortunately but look the same and a quarter of the price, which suits me just fine, i also picked up this amazing wold T and CUT CUT CUT IT. I am a massive fan of the crop tee, although i think i will need to work out before i start wearing the really cropped ones in public! I had the most ridiculously crazy weekend, think climbing over fences, up trees and onto peoples roof tops at 3 in the morning...pro surfers, me, bathrooms, risky escapes through windows, hiding behind cars, ping pong, and a guy with three thumbs...no but seriously he had THREE!

I wish every weekend could be like this...hmmm actually i don't. On second thoughts it would be really really bad, but once in every while its always fun to wake up with a massive bruise on your leg, tears in your stockings and some surfers bracelet on your wrist!!

Well sirs, there has been some bad news. Whilst i was away seeking adventures in magical lands for a few months there was no one to take care of Maryanne and Jack...and now they are dying. I'm trying to fix them but my bicycle fixing skills are not as good as they should be. Its breaking my heart, I've had to walk everywhere lately. So for now there will be no more bicycle pictures...but i shall entertain you with other magical antics until my babies return to the world of the riding.

This night was such a wild ride, at one point in time i was up on stage with the band the silents playing some mad tambourine, it was incredible...then i found my self with a mask on top my head, which turned out to be one of the guys from the band carbuncle. Oh i am in love with that band so much, i do recall telling them i wanted to marry them all and then shrink them and put them in marmalade jars and then make them play music when i please!

Some how i ended up home making nachos at 4 in the morning with La Mar wearing my fur coat...And having to wake up at 6 cause he kept setting his alarm to go off every hour!

I wish every night could be like this!

Its been so long i know, but that's because I've been getting frostbite in Canada, and partying in NYC...here are a few pics of my delectable fur coat i got at a op shop/thrift store for $10!! it amost felt as if i was stealing it! yes no posty posts at all, and with good reason, for i have got on a plane and traveled to america land, and in a few short days i shall be in the land of the beavers(Canada), where unfourtunatly there shall not be many pictures of my beautiful bicycle so i shall just take pictures of other beautiful things like garden knomes and snow angels and pickle jars...ok maybe not pickle jars. and also mr velvet said i must return famous, so im trying to think of something i can be famous for...any suggestions? Well here you are stompface, no i don't mid that you are a stalker at all, i am happy to have such a wonderful stalker, you are everything a stalker should be...and more. This is what i wore to watch some wonderful bands play the other day. Yes i have secret dreams of looking 'cool rock star chic'. I don't know if i will ever really achieve this, but i can try can i not? YES I CAN. These leather tights are possibly one of the best things that has ever happened to my wardrobe. Oh and i attempted the shredding home work, you cant really see it in these pic, but it turned out pretty well.

This morning i manged to commandeered Mr Velvets Bicycle, Velvet Jnr. I was in need of some mode of transport to take me from the velvety lair to my pirate ship at 6:30 in the morning and i chanced upon this fine creation. The ride was as smooth as its names sake, and i would love to keep Velvet Jnr locked away, but alas, i fear i would be made walk the plank of my own ship if i did any such thing.
I decided to have a little adventure however with Velvet Jnr whilst he was in my possestion. So me and new vintage skirt which was horribly long until i took pity on her and cut her short short short, well not too short, but short enough to transform the hidious unglyness into soemthing beautiful.
Lets all shout HOORAY for Velvet and leather HOORAY.

It is true, there is a new love in my life, is it a bird? is it a plane? No it's SUPERMAN...oh i mean its MR BACKPACK...yes, Mr Backpack was looking awfully lonely until i decided to take him home and make him my constant companion, since that glorious moment of discovery he has hardly left my back. The beauty of the backpack is that you forget you even have it on. Hand bags can be extremely aggravating when wore out dancing, but with a back pack you can dance your little heart out with out anything constantly falling off your arm. Backpacks are also the perfect companion for going on adventures, they just sit there on your back quietly holding all your goodies. I remember when the oversize totes came out and i thought to my self, i shall never carry anything else, but i was wrong, the backpack has captured my heart and put it in it's front left pocket.

Yes i look stunning i know, i was going for the 'riding home from Mr Velvets house in the morning wearing his clothes' look, i think i achieved it pretty well seeing as that was precisely what i was doing. I am in love with these jeans, they are mens ones but fit me wonderfully, and they are allready worn in so they are extra comfy. If you were wondering why i have not posted a postarama for over a week i will tell you why: because i have been enjoying all the sunshine in the north of western australia, yay hooray, judging from these pics i dont looks tanned at all just confused. But i am very tan after my little adventure, unfourtunaly there were no bicycles at my destinations, just surf boards and wet suits YIPEEEEEEEEEEE...

Well my head is tired from all this thinking, im not used to it, no no no. oh i went and saw ladytron last night with Mr Velvet and a certain pig of happiness, and it was wonderful.

sorry it has been quite a few days since i have put any new pictures into this wonderful blogging kingdom. There are two reasons for this 1. i was kidnapped by Mr Velvet for the duration of the weekend. 2. My sisters theology lecturer (not really sure how he fits in but some blame must be passed onto him). Once upon a time there was a beautiful lacy free top who's dream was so find someone beautiful to wear her. so she set of on a journey, through many stores thinking hmmmm where would i find someone so amazing to wear me that doesn't want to pay $100 dollars for me....so she walked down Williams street and gasped as she saw a sign saying Designer Garage Sale, so she quietly maneuvered her self onto a clothing rack hidden between a hideous medieval style dress and a ridiculously sparkly jacket who thought she was fashionable just because she cost $300. meanwhile on the other side of the kingdom in a little op shop in a beautiful suburb, a lovely old leather jacket hung from a rack contemplating the good life she had had all the adventures on tour buses and trips on the back of motorbikes, all the times her and her wearer would get home late and be scolded by her over protective parents, and how she would spray perfume all over her to mask the smell of cigarette smoke... Mrs leather jacket was rudely awoken from this day dream as a young pirate came and grabbed her off the shelf, took her to the counter and then stuffed her into a plastic bag.... later that day ms lacy top had a similar experience, and found herself in a bag with Mrs leather jacket. they started to fight over who would be worn by the pirate, the pirate looked into to the bag and said....there is no need to fight, i will wear you both... and they all lived happily ever after The end

So look at those pictures of that Pirate in cut offs, it looks like its nice and warm out side, she must be having a nice time in all that sun...WRONG. I have fooled you all, it is not nice and warm as this photo suggests but raining and windy and cold, this is what i would be wearing if it was nice weather, somehow i tend to think if i wear coconut body oil and cut offs it wil magically turn into summer.

Now something happened to me last night on my way to my friends house that made what should have been a 10 minute car ride, into a 40 minute fiasco.

So i was driving down the freeway all happy, and then i look up and i see a man carrying a baby and i think to my self, you should never carry babies on the over pass cause what if you drop them, then i started thinking about how horrible it would be if he dropped the baby and it fell on my car, and then i was thinking about what if my car was at the right position so it causght the baby on the windscreen and didnt kill it, but then i had to think about how i would get the baby off the windscreen to save it while still driving cause if i stopped then it would roll off and die. so i got quite worked up, dont laugh this isnt funny. then i realised i had completly missed my turn off and so i had to turn off somewhere else then go back, so i did that and then started thinking about how cars are so dangerious and when you ride bikes you dont have to worry about killing babies they would just fall in your basket. then i took the wrong turn off again and had to go back the same way and turn around, so then i was finally on my way, but no my mind was in a daze and frazzled and i was thinking about how disracted i had gotten, when i passed the next turn off, then tried to go back, then realised i was lost then called my sister and told her to look up directions and then.....finally after 40 minutes i got there...

so there are two morals of the story,

1. dont walk your babies across overpasses

2. ride bicycles they are much safer for falling babies.

Tonight Mary Anne and myself have been invited to a dinner party, we are very excited about this dinner party seeing as the 'dinner' part will consist of turkish bread and dips. I bought a selection of dips, and olives, mmmmmmm i love olives, they dont really taste good but at the same time they do, i think it is the after taste maybe. i bought pitted olives yes because who really wants to see others chewed on pips on the corner of your plate...not me, or Mary Anne. Unfourtunatly Mary Anne does not eat. She wishes she did because i also bought 70 % dark chocolate with raspberrys...delicious. Some may say, it is a little odd to take your bicycle to dinner parties and act as if she were your friend, or in jacks case boyfriend, to which i reply.

'Your a fool. Bicycles are far better companions than most, they don't bitch although sometimes when they are in a bad mood they chew your jeans and make thier chains come off so you have to get your fingers greasy. But that is usually due to not treating your bicycle with love. Bicycles get you where you need to go faster than your legs, imagine if in the future humans breed with bicycles to create a cenatur like combination, human waist up and bicycle bellow. Ok now theres something to ponder on whilst Marry Anne and i ride of on this cold wintery night when it should be a cool spring night...grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Today the weather is horrible, yes thats right, its cold, wimdy and raining, i want summer back, i think i am going to start a petition to get back sumer sooner, it is suppose to be spring but bambi has gone into hyberntion and the little birdies are shivering in their nests after hatching from their eggs thinking oh its spring im going to be nice and warm BUT NO winter came back and now those brids are goign to die, DID YOU THINK ABOUT THAT WINTER DID YOU THINK ABOUT THOSE POOR BIRDIES HUH DID YOU. no i didnt think so. well i was loking through my old photos reminicsing of sumer days when i came across this one, of my with glorious long hair and Nina and baby russh the puppy heading off on a sumer adventure to bottle up the sun and save it for a rainy day, which is today but someone has stolen the bottle, i shall use my skills of piracy and hunt them down then we shall have summer for ever more!! three cheers for knicker elastics, hip pip HOORAY, hip pip HOORAY hip pip HOORAY.

It is true i am a bicycle pirate. I was born on a the back of a tandem bicycle and it is on a bicycle i have stayed. i have had many wonderful bicycle friends through my life, Dove I, Dove II, Dove III, The Jubalee, The priannah, Clive who was possibly my greatest friend, Jack, Nina, and Mary Anne. I have been on wonderful adventures with all of them through forests, across oceans, through suburban mayhem, and through fields of daisies.
